1. Holiday Valley: Ellicottville, NY (One hour outside of Buffalo), Rated 5th Best Ski Resort in the East by Ski Magazine in 2007, Allegheny Mountains, Vertical Drop: 750′, Lifts: 13 (2nd in the East, 9th in the Nation, Ski Magazine 2007), Trails: 56
