No gas at 3 spots on the New York State Thruway?

nogas1The Associated Press and other news agencies are reporting that there will be no place to stop for gas at three travel plazas on the New York State Thruway this Thanksgiving holiday.

The Thruway says the three locations are part of a major fuel service renovation project that’s happening at all travel plazas operated by Sunoco.

The gas stations on I-90 (the Thruway) are at the following locations:

1. At the Port Byron travel plaza on the east side of the Thruway, between exits 41 and 40, because it’s undergoing renovations for the next three weeks.

2. The Plattekill travel plaza will have no fuel at its Sunoco station on the north side of Interstate 87, between Interchanges17 (Newburgh I-84) and 18 (New Paltz).

3. The Modena travel plaza on the south side of I-87,  between Interchanges 18 (New Paltz) and 17 (Newburgh I-84), also won’t have gas.nys_thruway

Both the Plattekill and Modena plazas are in Hudson Valley’s Newburgh-New Paltz region.
